Take your backcountry riding to the next level. During this low-ratio (3:1), two day skills clinic, we’ll spend the first day working on the skills needed to negotiate steep, challenging, or complex terrain. This might include sluff management, cornice management, rappelling, improvised/snow anchors, rope skills, ice axe and crampon use, staged descents, and spotting. We’ll conclude the first day with terrain assessment and digital tour planning tools. On the second day, we’ll put these skills to work on a real objective.
Prior backcountry skiing/snowboarding experience is required. Specific skills and objectives will be based on participant goals.
